ACA Commencement Ceremony Details

Ceremony Details

Graduate Regalia Guidelines

All graduates are expected to adhere to the following dress and regalia requirements for the ceremony:

  • Attire:

    • Male students must wear dress slacks and a collared shirt at a minimum.

    • Female students must wear skirts or dresses that are below the knee.

  • Regalia:

    • All students are required to wear the official regalia that was purchased by ACA.

    • Graduation gowns must be fully zipped for the entire duration of the ceremony.

    • Regalia can be picked up three weeks prior to the commencement date.

  • Caps:

    • Graduation caps may be decorated; however, all designs must receive approval from school administration at least three weeks prior to the commencement date.

Note: Failure to follow these guidelines may result in not being permitted to participate in the ceremony.

Important Graduate Reminders

  • Graduates have two mandatory practices they must attend at the Anchor Church:

    • May 7th at 8:50 am - 9:45 am

    • May 17th at 4:15 pm - 5 pm

  • Each graduate will be provided with half of an 8-foot table to create a personalized display. This space may be used to showcase items that celebrate the graduate’s journey, such as a photo poster, awards, and meaningful memories. Many families also include a box for cards and gifts.

  • To receive your diploma, all coursework will be validated, and account balance has been paid in full. Please reach out to finance@acazanesville.org for any questions regarding a student’s account balance.

Important Attendee Reminders

  • Please arrive early to allow time for parking and seating.

  • Guests are expected to remain seated and respectful throughout the ceremony.

  • Excessive noise (air horns, loud cheering, etc.) is not permitted.

  • Cell phones should be silenced during the ceremony.

  • Photography is welcome, but please do not block aisles or obstruct views.

  • No outside food or drinks unless otherwise permitted by the venue.

  • Follow all directions from staff and ushers for a smooth ceremony experience.
